Had no idea that fetch was a Tekkie term! I don't hand out my e-mail address to places more than I really need to, so my inbox is seldom hit with real spam. I'm happy to have such a diligent e-mail provider!!! Thanks.

I'm glad that you enjoy doing email.  A LOT of people out there (AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) despise doing email - because their mailboxes are full of scams... and those servers DON'T inform you where a fake email is arriving from.  It's possible to receive a fake email "from" a bank that originates from Russia or Argentina. You'd think those customers would wise-up and switch to a better service.

Isn't that fetching?

There is a book is about “ The first digital world war”. It really is a great read about the CABAL that was taking on the challenge of the Conficker Botnet.

I really value your work.

Thank You,

Marcia Seaman

Rusty
I can confirm that an infected email arrived at 08:16 this morning from swimroy-at-aol.com - and 1USA blocked it accordingly.

From the Mail Logs:

13 08:16:47[344515] Aspam 205.188.105.144 <swimroy-aol.com> <rusty-1usa.com> 2248 <8CE701D9590CA14-19C8-34E17@webmail-m018.sysops.aol.com> "notrust *******: 7.0 sd=7.0  13.2(*:viagra) 12.9(X-Probe:+FOUND) 10.0(Found in sorbs) 10.0(X-MyUrl:black) -5.8(!(DomainKey-Signature:yahoo),(X-myrbl:Color=blue)) -5.6(!(WRONGDOMAIN-DATADOM),(X-Phrase:isspam)) 0.0(X-Verify-Helo:+OK) 0.0(X-LangGuess:English) [sig=6] [nnot=2,nis=2,nb=4,0.0]"
13 08:16:47[344515] Failed 205.188.105.144 <swimroy-aol.com> <rusty-1usa.com> 2248 <8CE701D9590CA14-19C8-34E17@webmail-m018.sysops.aol.com> "[imr-da02.mx.aol.com] 570 mfilter Bounced line 508: 550-- Message Not Deliverable"

Notice that it didn't block his clean email at 7:46 PM, only the infected one this morning.
This is hard evidence that 1USA's mail servers are better than all others out there.
Sorbs is a database of known websites that are spamvertized via emails.
MyURL:Black means that the page is infected.  The 1USA mail server checks each web page that's in an email with a probe tool for each email received.  No other ISP does this.

Ask the other recipients on swimroy's list how much their email security is worth.
